CH-ZG-04

Zug,  |   Oterswil / Insel Eielen

Short Description
The site was discovered in 1920 and extends from the shoreline at Oterswil to the Isle of Eilen. The site was examined by two historic prospecting excavations and surface collections, and is frequently monitored now. There are two layers with archaeological contents that are associated with the Banded Ware culture, between 2750 BC and 2400 BC. The location of the site is fairly protected from erosion due to waves or low water levels.
