The "International Logboat Regatta 2023" will take place on Saturday, 3 June 2023 as part of the "Internationale Bodenseewoche" and the national UNESCO World Heritage Day in Germany at Gondelehafen and Stadtgarten in Constance.
In the spirit of the serial and international World Heritage Site "Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps", sporting competition and hands-on archaeology will meet here.
Throughout the whole weekend, there will be a colourful programme with information about the World Heritage and pile dwellings as well as archaeology to touch and participate in for young and old.

10:00 - 17:00 A dugout is born. Open workshop with experimental archaeologist Frank Trommer at the outdoor area of
the Archäologisches Landesmuseum Baden-Württemberg ALM , Constance

Thursday 01 June 2023
18:00 Dr. Martin Mainberger talks about "Prehistoric logboats at Lake Constance and in Upper Swabia" (german).
at the Rosgartenmuseum , Constance, followed by a reception in the museum café.
The evening event is organised by the Förderverein Pfahlbau-Welterbe Litzelstetten-Krähenhorn. Admission 10 euros.

17:00 Archaeological walk "From Logboat to Surfboard " from the Stadtgarten Constance to the Seemuseum Kreuzlingen.
The event is organised by the Förderverein Pfahlbau-Welterbe Litzelstetten-Krähenhorn and the Seemuseum Kreuzlingen.
Walk incl. entrance to the Seemuseum 10 CHF/EUR; limited number of participants. More information about registration here

10:00 - 17:00 UNESCO World Heritage Day. "Our World. Our Heritage. Our Responsibility" Special event
at the Archäologisches Landesmuseum Baden-Württemberg ALM, Constance.
Admission and guided tours are free of charge on this day.

The registration form is already online below - more information about the programme in the days before the regatta and the schedule will follow. A regular look at the website is worthwhile!

Register and join in

Teams of 4-7 people and a minimum age of 16 are welcome to take part in the competition!
logboats, paddles and life jackets will be provided, a short safety and technical introduction will be given before the competition.

Teams can register here for the International Logboatregatta. The regatta is divided into an "international" and "regional" competition.
For organisational reasons, we ask for early registration, at the latest by 19.05.2023.
